Inspired by Brazil's superquadras, the shared residential blocks Lúcio Costa designed for Brasília in the 1950s, NOVAQUADRA takes that founding idea further. Residents own the land collectively so it can't be sold out from under them. The architecture gives bold individual visions room to be realised. Shared studios, galleries, and workshops open onto generous green space that belongs to the city as much as the block.
